Your health information is deeply personal. At Olgara, we're committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

The short version: Your symptom data is yours. We use it to help you understand your health patterns. We never sell your data to anyone. Period.

What Information We Collect

Health Information You Share:

• Symptoms you log (through voice or text)

• Foods and meals you track

• Medications you record

• Mood and energy levels

• Patterns and insights generated from your data

Account Information:

• Name (or nickname if you prefer)

• Email address

• Language preference (English or Spanish)

Usage Information:

• How you use the app (which features you use, when you log in)

• Device information (type of phone, operating system)

• Basic analytics to help us improve Olgara

What We DON'T Collect:

• We don't access your phone's contacts, photos, or other apps

• We don't track your location

• We don't sell or share your data with advertisers

How We Use Your Information

To Help You Understand Your Health:

• Analyze your symptom patterns

• Generate personalized insights

• Show you trends over time

• Help you communicate better with your healthcare providers

To Improve Olgara:

• Fix bugs and technical issues

• Develop new features

• Understand which features are most helpful

• Make the app faster and more reliable

To Communicate With You:

• Send important updates about Olgara

• Respond to your questions or support requests

• Notify you about changes to this policy

We Will NEVER:

• Sell your data to anyone

• Share your health information with advertisers

• Use your data for purposes you didn't agree to

How We Protect Your Data

Security Measures:

• All data is encrypted in transit and at rest

• We use secure, industry-standard Firebase infrastructure

• Access to data is strictly limited and monitored

• Regular security audits and updates

Your health information is stored securely on Google Cloud (Firebase), which is HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. However, Olgara is currently in pilot/beta phase and is not yet a HIPAA-covered entity. As we grow and scale, we're committed to meeting all applicable healthcare privacy standards.

Your Rights & Control

You Own Your Data:

• You can download all your data at any time

• You can delete your account and all associated data whenever you want

• You can request corrections to your information

• You can pause or limit data collection

How to Exercise Your Rights:

• Or use the "Delete My Account" option in Settings

When you delete your account, we permanently delete:

• All your symptom logs

• All your insights and patterns

• Your account information

• Everything. It's gone.

We may keep anonymized, aggregated data for research purposes (for example: "users who track gluten sensitivity report X pattern"), but this data cannot be traced back to you personally.

Data Sharing

We only share your data in these specific situations:

With Your Permission:

• If you choose to share insights with your doctor, we'll provide that data in the format you request

• If you participate in research studies (always optional and you can opt out anytime)

For Legal Reasons:

• If required by law (like a court order)

• To protect someone's safety (for example, if we believe there's a serious risk of harm)

With Service Providers:

• We use trusted third-party services (like Firebase for data storage, authentication services)

• These providers are contractually required to protect your data and can only use it to provide services to Olgara

We Will NEVER:

• Sell your data to pharmaceutical companies

• Share your data with insurance companies

• Give your data to employers

• Share your information with data brokers or advertisers

Bilingual Services

Olgara works in both English and Spanish. All privacy protections apply equally regardless of which language you use. Your language preference is stored with your account but is never used to discriminate or treat you differently.

Children's Privacy

Olgara is intended for users 18 years and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we discover we've collected data from a minor, we'll delete it immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy as Olgara grows. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by:

• Email to your registered address

• A notification in the app

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top

You'll always have the option to review changes before continuing to use Olgara.

International Users

Olgara is currently based in the United States, and your data is stored on servers in the US. If you're using Olgara from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
